PremiumCash Powers the Pornstar Niche

PremiumCash recognized the power of the porn star early on in its affiliate career, after realizing the staying power that brands like Jules Jordan and Jenna Haze bring to the table. Owner Jon Blitt founded the company in 2007 initially as a bridge between fellow program Braincash and DVD powerhouse Mile High Video, for which the company ran its Doghouse Digital arm, but after combining Braincash's Internet success with Mile High's knowledge of content production, Blitt realized he had gold in his hands.

"At first, PremiumCash had set out to be an affiliate program much like Braincash in that we wanted to be very selective of the content partners we bring in," Blitt said. "Initially the focus was on creating a build-your-own-tour AVS site called PremiumPass.com and several exclusive niche sites, as well. Our goal was to give the program a solid base with a wide variety of updates available."

PremiumCash's first partner was major adult director Jules Jordan, who Blitt considers to be the cream of the crop, and the company created sites to represent some of his most famous and successful DVD lines. AssFixation.com is the marriage of Ass Worship and Weapons of Ass Destruction, SpermSwallowers.com represents Jordan's Feeding Frenzy line and INeedItBlack.com is the culmination of his interracial content featuring Lexington Steele and Mandingo.

After reviewing Jordan's vast array of facial scenes, Blitt recommended developing CumIntheFace.com, and soon a roster of stellar Jules Jordan exclusive sites were live and raking it in.

"As far as involvement in design and development, Jules has been an integral part in the Web sites from day one until now," Blitt said. "He is in weekly contact with our team and constantly giving us suggestions and ideas on how to keep his product fresh for the consumer. Jules is a perfectionist in every aspect of his business."

With Jordan came Jenna Haze, and Blitt realized that creating an online presence for top brands and starlets in the industry was differentiating PremiumCash from other affiliate programs, and serving an incredibly underrepresented porn-star solo-site market. After seeking out blonde bombshell Gina Lynn, PremiumCash was well on its way to repping some of the top names in "offline" adult.

"It's important for anyone in any business to have an online presence," Blitt said. "Coming from a DVD production and distribution background, I have seen major changes over the last several years. Anyone who does not figure out how to monetize themselves on the Internet will not be around in the coming years.

"It is clear that brick-and-mortar business is losing market share whether it be to TV, VOD, tube sites, etc., and without the supplemental income that an online presence can give a studio or performer, it will be difficult to remain in the business."

Blitt makes it known that PremiumCash is always looking to help top porn-star names monetize their brands online, having already made Internet sensations out of a solid lineup of DVD regulars, including Digital Playground contract star Katsuni, fan-favorite Eva Angelina and hardcore sex fiend Haze. PremiumCash prides itself in its diverse porn-star portfolio and remains committed to working with only the best in the biz.

PremiumCash Project Manager Cindy G. said the company takes care of its porn-star partners and realizes the need for creatively and accurately portraying each one's specific personalities and unique traits, for that is what makes their sites stand out — and not only attract members, but keep them on the books. Because at the end of the day, it's all about the relationship with the consumer, for he or she is buying a membership in exchange for a "relationship" with his or her favorite porn star, and that's what PremiumCash sells.

"There will always be fans of particular porn stars and their work and the desire to get in contact with them," Cindy G. said. "By giving them access to the porn star through her official site, we are providing a service that cannot be stolen or replaced by any other means."

Blitt touts his program's sites as the only place where fans can watch these stars perform live shows, talk to them on their forums, read about their daily lives in their blogs, follow them on Twitter and interact with them.

"This type of interaction is unique to their official sites and more importantly unique in that it can't be stolen," Blitt said. "Yes, these torrents and tubes can come and steal our scenes, but you can't steal that satisfaction our clients receive when they get to see and interact with their favorite stars live."

Blitt revealed that his content is stolen and posted illegally on a daily basis, and he feels illegal tube sites are slowly killing the industry. The cost and manpower behind providing the preventative and proactive resources necessary to combat illegal content sharing is often too great for companies to tack onto their bottom line; but for PremiumCash, Blitt said what allows his company to remain competitive is that it offers more than just content. It's about a unique experience that is impossible to recreate elsewhere.

It's essential to offer tours and member areas that are consistent with what fans already know and love about their porn stars of choice, and the key to doing so is working with the stars one-on-one during the development process. PremiumCash only works with stars who not only are willing, but eager, to play a key role in establishing, creating and maintaining their online star status.

"We want [our partners] to be involved from the ground up, as the goal of what we are doing is to give the consumer a product that reflects their individual shooting styles, sexual interests, personalities etc.," Blitt said. "And the only way to portray that is to have our partners' input every step of the way."

Blitt said Katsuni was involved with every aspect of her site, down to the font, and when he first met her, he could tell her professionalism and meticulous work ethic would fit in perfectly with the PremiumCash platform.

Eva Angelina was a star PremiumCash pursued for a while, and even after a yearlong hiatus, she's in just as in demand as always. Angelina was almost as eager to get started on her site — and to start fucking on camera again — as Blitt and his team.

"The thing about Eva is that she possesses the total package when it comes to being a successful porn star," Blitt said. "She is beautiful, hardworking and incredible with her fans, and these elements are why she is one of the most famous porn stars in the world."

Blitt met two of PremiumCash's most recent additions, Lexi Belle and Audrey Bitoni, while working with talent agency L.A. Direct Models. Blitt noticed both girls' appeal right off the bat — Belle with her amateur teen charm and keen knowledge of the online solo-girl business, and Bitoni's unique look, incredible performances and fun personality.

PremiumCash currently is working on an online presence for adult stars Tory Lane, Tori Black and Alexis Texas, and Blitt said there are several other top names joining the team this year.

And by keeping in close communication with its affiliate base, offering the promotional tools and stat updates necessary for affiliates to send traffic and spread the word, PremiumCash has set itself up for long-term success.

"We have developed very close relationships with our affiliates, and we depend on their feedback to improve and develop our products," Cindy G. said. "We consider working with our affiliates very important as their knowledge about the entire industry and what is working and what is not is invaluable information, and we take that very seriously."

PremiumCash's newest promo tool is its Flash galleries, which are available for each of its porn-star sites; the company also has started incorporating social network sites including Twitter and MySpace in its tours and member areas to further connect the fans to the stars.

"I am a strong believer that staying fresh is the key to success," Blitt said. "There are obviously certain niches that will always be popular, but the viewer is always looking for that next big thing, and we are always trying to stay on the cutting edge. Our goal for 2009 is to establish ourselves in the market as the No. 1 affiliate program in the world for official porn-star websites."
